A flyer amongst many with the various Adventurer’s Guilds catches your eyes. An ad for a small business of sorts. One that promises the best high-quality goods or even finding the unknown. Be it fishing, mining, botany, hunting, or exploring. A young retainer appears to be looking for work!Could you be a possible client needing something you just don’t have the time to get for yourself? Or mayhaps it’s too dangerous to explore and you need a seasoned ranger to venture in for you? That fish for dinner keeps eluding you and you’re in a rush?Moonveil Tails may be just what you need! A young, but talented wanderer, from the Shroud looking to get you what you need. Experienced in survival and hunting, he knows his way around the lands and offers his services to you. For a small fee, of course![Please note that all transactions are purely In-Character! I will not accept actual gil for Roleplay!]

  • Information

  • Theme - Moonveil Tails draws heavily upon how the retainer services of Final Fantasy XIV work. Focusing on exploring, hunting, gathering, and selling wares.

  • Venue - There is no venue or place which the business calls home. (Could change in the future) This serves as a roleplay hook for any who might need the services. Feel free to inquire about them whenever!

  • OOC/IC Age - I ask all those who wish to engage to be 21+ years of age, OOC and IC.

  • Scheduling - Generally the services are performed behind the scenes using a series of rolls, unless the service requires the client to be there for it. My time can be strict, but I will do my best to plan a day to conclude business.

  • Player Consent - Some services might involve another party or player. It is important that all parties have given consent and are aware before anything takes place.

  • Poisons/Toxins

  • Shadow Clutch - Made from the secretions of dart frogs from the swamps of the Black Shroud, this deadly batrachotoxin is known to cause paralysis and even death. Best applied to arrow tips and darts for an unseen strike that'll leave the target frozen and helpless.

  • Manic Scratch - A hallucinate made from the ooze of Dreamtoads in the Slyphlands. When it is ingested or enters the bloodstream, it causes nightmarish hallucinations. The victims often left frightened or confused. Good for taking out groups of enemies or wanting to cause a distraction.

  • Mage's Bane - A variation of a poison once used during the War of the Magi. Though the Morpho were hunted to extinction in Eorzea, they can still be found in Tural. The scales of these butterflies are brewed into a poison which inhibits one's ability to restore aether. Making it deadly against mages and voidsent.

  • Morbol's Kiss - A Clan Phamsiki special brew using the pheromones of a morbol. The toxin addles the mind, making normal reactions sluggish or impossible. It has an odd reaction that causes the victim to become obsessed with the color green. Which in the Black Shroud tends to cause the victim to into a confused state.

  • Leeching Scale - A complex mix made from viper venom designed to target blood and tissue. The victim's blood is left unable to clot, leaving the wound fresh and always bleeding. Prolonged effects include intense pain, swelling, bruising, and even necrosis.

  • Wither Thorn - A mycotoxin that quickly causes toxic pneumonitis when inhaled. The spores enter the lungs to cause inflammation, making it harder to breathe and draining one's stamina. Advised to handle with extreme care and to wear a mask when handling.

  • Special Wares (Limited)

Special Wares are exotic items general found during roleplay events. These goods are of limited supply and once sold are no longer in stock.

  • Vidraal Axebeak's Hide - The hide itself is a mix of crimson and sickening green colors. While not too appealing to look at, it holds a strong aetherial presence to it. Making it a worthwhile material for any mage or fighter who uses aether for battle.

  • Vidraal Axebeak's Venom Sac - The scent of what is within this venom sac would make a morbol fall over. The afflictions it causes makes a morbol's bad breath look like the common cold. Best handle with care.. and nose plugs..

  • Vidraal Axebeak's Beak - The curved, strudy beak holdes the shape of an axe. Not nearly as sharp but with some work could be fashioned into a deadly weapon. Much like its hide, it holds a strong aetherial presence to it.

  • Retainer Services

  • [1 Venture Coin] Hunting - Hide, meat, bones, feathers! If it can be gained from a hunt then it can be gotten! Due to his beliefs, all hunts will be made use of. What is not needed by the client will be sold or donated to the people.

  • [1 Venture Coin] Fishing - No fish is safe from the one who lurks in the moonlight! With contacts in the Fishermans’ Guild and a keen eye for any bodies of water around the star, Namu’to can find what you need. In any weather, any hour!

  • [1 Venture Coin] Gathering - Trained in the art of survival and taught to make use of anything he can find in the wilds. Namu’to can seek out just about any herb or ore someone might need. Though his strengths lie within botany, he has come to recognize various stones and ores in his travels.

  • [2 Venture Coin] Exploration - Need an item that is too dangerous to reach? Mayhaps you heard of treasure in an old cave and wish to gamble to see what is within? Namu’to enjoys exploring everything the star has to offer.

  • Other Services

  • [Cost Varies] Party Companion - While being an adventurer is new work to him, Namu’to is willing to join up with parties to take down dangerous beasts or even tackle a leve. Of course, he will want his share of the reward once the job is complete. So prices vary with this service.

  • [Cost Varies] Odds and Ends - Not all items Namu’to finds is what the client needs. Those items are put into a personal stash and sold on the markets. Mayhaps he’ll have something you need and can buy it from him?

  • [2 Venture Coin] Wilderness Guide/Bodyguard - Not everyone is great with combat, some just need a fellow to watch their back while they do their research. Others might be so good with navigating the wilderness and need a trained eye watching their path.

  • Nightwatch Services

Those needing a specialized hand for those unspoken jobs might find some luck with the young Keeper. While he has morals and a code, Namu’to is not afraid to get his hands dirty when he needs to. He does not target the innocent, only the corrupt and criminals. Nor does he kill for coin, though certain creatures may be an expectation. All these services cost 2 coin, there are no exceptions.

  • Sabotage - An expert of stealth, Namu’to can get in and out unseen. One of his better talents is trickery or disruption. Able to sneak into enemy strongholds or ambush groups to send them scattering and ruining their work. Making use of his various supplies and ways to frame those who need to be brought down.

  • Theft/Retrieval - There are just some items which the corrupt and criminal elements shouldn’t have. A hand in the dark can easily find these items misplaced. Or mayhaps you had an item stolen by someone unsavoury and wish to have it returned to you.

  • Tracking/Information Gathering - Need someone tracked down? Lacking that key piece of information about someone? Namu’to tends to keep his ears and eyes open to his surroundings. Easily blending in and overhearing, or tracking those into places others might wish to not wander into.

[Player Consent! If any of these services target another player or group, it is important to know if they consent to the roleplay before it happens. This will be asked if both parties are aware before anything happens!]

  • I go by Dizzy (They/Them) and I'm 30+ years of age but feel free to call me by whatever character you know me as.

  • I will only roleplay with fellow adults (21+). Please do not approach if you or your character are underage.

  • I'm very much an introvert and suffer from social anxiety, because of this I rarely do walk-ups or send tells to start a scene. I'll even clam up if I spy anyone targeting me or sending me a tell; please don't be insulted if my OOC responses are short. It's just who I am.

  • My IC post can be (most likely) slow and known to have typos. I'm not the best at typing and oftentimes my thought process in writing properly can lead me to be slow in the response; typos tend to happen due to this as I try to rush out the emote to not keep the other waiting.

  • I've been Roleplaying for roughly eight years now. Having experience in World of Warcraft and now Final Fantasy XIV.

  • My availability can be tight to some, generally only free Sundays [8PM to 11AM] and Mondays [8PM to 11AM] (CST US). Some rare appearances can happen on my workdays.

  • I prefer one or two para emotes but can also do simple on-liners and such.

  • I do enjoy RPing in the open world. The Quicksand and Housing areas can be boring.

  • I'm open to all forms of Roleplay. (I don't accept character deaths; FFXIV is not alt friendly, and it would be annoying to reroll). I prefer adventure, character growth, and relationship building.

  • I don't shy away from ERP but there must be some form of build up or reasoning for the scene. I'll just ignore people who come at my characters with the sole purpose for ERP. If such a scene does happen and it becomes the only focus of the characters from that point; I will part ways. Balmung is next door if you're looking for that, have fun.

  • I will only light party after a couple of scenes. Until then feel free to use screenshots as references. Thank you for understanding.

  • If you ever catch me then feel free to ask me for a scene; due to my shyness I can often overlook asking myself and I'm rather gentle with a letdown should I be busy that day.

Thanks for taking the time to view all the carrd details! Hope to see you in game and do some roleplayin'!~
